LexisNexis Risk Solutions recently released Cybercrime Report Singapore Edition found that human-initiated attacks increased 93% YOY, while bot attack volume increased by 146% YOY in Singapore, one of the biggest economies in Southeast Asia.
Key findings of the Cybercrime Report include:
- The overall attack rate in Singapore is higher than the regional average, reflecting the significant account takeover scam activity seen in 2022.
- Attacks via the desktop browser channel were particularly high compared to other countries in the region. The desktop attack rate is 5.2% in Singapore, compared with the APAC average of 3.1%
