To assist regulatory bodies, governments and businesses in understanding and preventing digital fraud, Sumsub recently shared an interactive world map consisting 103 countries’ susceptibility to Digital Fraud.
Sumsub has released the Global Fraud Index, revealing the Asia Pacific region (APAC) as the third most protected region. This highlights the ongoing efforts of various governments to maintain digital security and promote a secure digital economy.
The report ranked Singapore as the country most protected against fraud, with a score of 1.09 on the Global Fraud Index, followed by New Zealand (1.87), Japan (1.89), Australia (1.95), and Malaysia (2.60).
The Index is the first comprehensive study covering 103 countries across the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and APAC. It identifies the underlying factors that contribute to fraud, aiming to raise public awareness of these root causes. The analysis focuses on four key pillars — Fraud Rate, Resource Accessibility, Government Intervention, and Economic Health — providing a thorough assessment of each country’s resilience against fraud.
This infographic provides the key highlights of the Index for APAC against a global backdrop.
