The Acronis Cyberthreats Report 2020 is based on data collected by the global network of Acronis Cyber Protection Operations Centers (CPOCs), which monitor and research cyberthreats 24/7.
Malware data was collected by more than 100,000 unique endpoints around the world.
Top statistics of 2020 featured in the report include:
- More than 1,000 companies had data leaked after an attack – 31% of all companies attacked each day
- Maze ransomware makes up almost 50% of all known ransomware cases
- Microsoft patched close to 1,000 flaws in its products over 9 months
- Average lifetime of a malware sample – 3.4 days only
