APAC organizations’ misplaced confidence in cloud security

Some cloud security perceptions in large Asia Pacific organizations do not match the reality of professionals who know best.

With large organizations, we would expect that their cloud deployments are more secure, due to the scale of the enterprise and the amount of resources available.

However, the results of a new cloud security study by Palo Alto Networks, conducted through Ovum Research, on the state of cloud security among large organizations across Asia Pacific, showed that large organizations are not prepared for cloud-related cybersecurity threats and make the assumption that public clouds are by default secure.

In fact, 70% of security decision-makers in large organizations believe that security provided by cloud providers is sufficient to protect them from cloud-based threats.
